The ticket price is in Canadian dollars and includes all transaction and venue fees that apply to the TEDxStanleyPark Conference to be held in the Queen Elizabeth Theatre (hereafter QET) on March 3, 2018. GST will be added to the ticket price. Subject to compliance with the Ticket Holder Identity and the Ticket Transfer Policies (see below), the ticket price also includes several bonuses. The ticket price does not include parking, food, beverages or admission to the after party.

  1. General Admission Seats

All seats, other than reserved seats, are general admission i.e., occupied on a first-come, first-seated basis.

  1. Reserved Seats

10 or more contiguous seats of any ticket type can be reserved. All reserved seats will have back-of-seat signage that says “Reserved for INSERT PERSONAL OR BUSINESS NAME”.

After the first ticket refund deadline – January 15, 2018 – the Ticket Holder who made the bulk purchase will be contacted by TEDxStanleyPark and asked for his/her preferred reserved seats location. While Ticket Holder’s preference will be noted, the final decision as to the whereabouts of the reserved seats will be made by TEDxStanleyPark taking into account many competing preferences. Ticket Holder will be provided with a digital seat map that identifies the reserved seats. Ticket Holder can forward this digital seat map to guests. When Ticket Holder and guests arrive on March 3, 2018 they will see a large seat map in the lobby of the QET. Ticket Holder’s group’s name will appear on this seat map and onsite hosts will guide Ticket Holder and guests to their reserved sections.

  1. Ticket Format

A TEDxStanleyPark “ticket” takes the physical form of a colour-coded paper bracelet that gives Ticket Holder access to the QET auditorium on March 3, 2018. Each access bracelet colour directs Ticket Holder to a specific section in the QET auditorium. Ticket Holder can claim any unoccupied or unreserved seat in that section. Access bracelets obtained from any source other than TEDxStanleyPark or its agents will not be honoured.

  1. Ticket Pickup

Ticket Holder can pick up his/her access bracelet at the QET at 630 Hamilton Street, Vancouver by giving the admissions team their first and last names and email address. Access bracelets can be picked up on March 3, 2018 outside the front doors of the QET between 9:00am and 10:00am OR at the QET box office between 10:00am and 4:00pm.

  1. Lost Access Bracelet

A lost or stolen access bracelet can be replaced by Ticket Holder going to the QET box office and providing evidence of access bracelet entitlement.

  1. Refund Policy

Ticket purchases are 100% refundable until midnight on January 15, 2018, 50% refundable until midnight on February 15, 2018 and thereafter non-refundable (though they are transferable until midnight on February 28, 2018 – see Ticket Transfer Policy below). If TEDxStanleyPark cancels the Conference, Ticket Holder will receive a 100% refund of the ticket purchase price. If TEDxStanleyPark postpones the Conference it will provide a 100% refund of the ticket purchase price should Ticket Holder be unable to attend the postponed Conference.

  1. Multi-ticket Purchase Policy

The maximum number of tickets that any single purchaser can buy is 16. This number can be exceeded with the written permission of TEDxStanleyPark. To request permission contact tickets@tedxstanleypark.com.

  1. Ticket Holder Identity Policy

When Ticket Holder purchases more than one ticket, he/she must email tickets@tedxstanleypark.com and provide the first and last name and email address of each person for whom he/she purchased a ticket. Failure to provide this information by midnight on February 28, 2018 renders Ticket Holder’s guest(s) ineligible to collect ticket bonuses.

  1. Ticket Transfer Policy

Ticket Holder can transfer his/her ticket to a substitute Ticket Holder until midnight on February 28, 2018. Thereafter tickets are non-transferable. Substitute Ticket Holders must comply with these terms and conditions. Ticket Holder and substitute Ticket Holder must make their own arrangements for payment of the transferred tickets.

Ticket Holders transferring tickets must email tickets@tedxstanleypark.com with the first and last name and email address of the substitute Ticket Holders by midnight on February 28, 2018; failure to do so renders the substitute Ticket Holders ineligible to collect ticket bonuses.

  1. Not Permitted Activities

No food or beverages, phone calls, flash photography, audio or video recording is allowed inside the auditorium; these activities are permitted elsewhere in the QET.

  1. Age Restriction

Babies and toddlers will not be admitted. Children under the age of thirteen must be accompanied by an adult.

  1. Right To Refuse Admission And Expel

Ticket Holder acknowledges that TEDxStanleyPark has the unfettered right to refuse admission and to expel any person(s) whose conduct is disorderly or inappropriate or who poses a threat to security, or to the enjoyment of the Conference by others. A Ticket Holder who is refused admission or is expelled will not receive a refund or any other form of compensation.

  1. Permissions

Ticket Holder grants to TEDxStanleyPark a fully-paid, perpetual right to all photographs, video and audio recordings of the Ticket Holder taken or made at the Conference and the right to record, use, reproduce, broadcast and distribute any photographs, video or audio recordings for any purpose.

  1. Waiver Of Liability

Ticket Holder voluntarily assumes all risk and danger of personal injury and hazards arising from, or related in any way to TEDxStanleyPark (including loss, damage or theft of any personal property) whether occurring prior to, during or after the Conference or the after party and releases TEDxStanleyPark and its staff, agents and volunteers from all liability.

  1. Right To Alter

TEDxStanleyPark reserves the right to postpone, cancel, interrupt or stop the Conference due to adverse weather, dangerous situations, or any other causes beyond its reasonable control.

  1. Authorization To Be Added To List

By providing any personal data to TEDxStanleyPark, Ticket Holder agrees to join a list that will be emailed information pertaining to the March 3, 2018 Conference and subsequent similar Conferences. Ticket Holder may unsubscribe from this list with a single mouse click, at no cost and at any time.

  1. Authorization To Be Identified

If Ticket Holder purchases a ticket using a tracking code, he/she authorises TEDxStanleyPark to reveal his/her identity to the person who created this tracking code.

  1. Bonus Bundle

Ticket Holder’s entitlement to receive a bundle of bonuses (“Bonus Bundle”) is conditional on compliance with the Ticket Holder Identity and Ticket Transfer Policies above i.e., TEDxStanleyPark must be informed of each Ticket Holder’s first and last names and email address by no later than midnight on February 28, 2018.

On March 5, 2018 TEDxStanleyPark will provide the ticket bonus donors with Ticket Holder’s first and last name so that they can verify Ticket Holder’s entitlement to receive the donated bonus. In the week beginning March 5, 2018 Ticket Holders will be advised how to claim each ticket bonus (each ticket bonus donor has its own procedure for claiming the ticket bonus that it has donated).

The Bonus Bundle is transferred when the ticket to which it is attached is transferred in accordance with the Ticket Transfer Policy above; a Bonus Bundle can only be transferred through the Ticket Transfer Policy above.

Each ticket bonus donor has undertaken to provide Ticket Holder with the right to claim a bonus when Ticket Holder buys a ticket. In good faith TEDxStanleyPark has communicated this undertaking to Ticket Holder. TEDxStanleyPark does not assume any liability in the event that a ticket bonus donor fails to honour its undertaking.

  1. Anti-Sales Policy

Ticket Holder understands that he/she attends the TEDxStanleyPark Conference in a spirit of curiosity, open-mindedness, respect and tolerance and that the event is appropriate for high-level relationship building, not salesmanship. Accordingly, Ticket Holder agrees not to use his/her attendance to aggressively pitch his/her company, organization, products or services to other attendees. Violators of this policy will be expelled, will not receive a refund or any other form of compensation and will be banned from participating in future TEDxStanleyPark Conferences.

  1. Jurisdiction

British Columbia law shall govern the sale of all tickets and Ticket Holder agrees to submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the British Columbia courts.
